Prices from Tuesday at the Keady Market.


At the Keady livestock sale on Tuesday -- 464 head of replacement cattle, cows and bulls were on offer.

Good quality stocker cattle sold on good demand at steady prices.

Heifer calves up to 600 pounds sold up to a dollar 15 per pound.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold up to a dollar 19 per pound, and the same range in heifers traded to a dollar 14

Yearling steers up to a thousand pounds sold to a dollar 6 and heifers to one dollar.

Yearling steers from a thousand to 12 hundred pounds sold from 95 cents to one dollar.

Cull cows sold from 45 to 54 cents per pound.

At the hog barn, 70 dollar calves were on offer, selling at steady prices.

Holsteen male calves weighing over 100 pounds were sold from 110 to 200 dollars apiece.

Lightweight lambs sold to 2 dollars per pound while ewes sold up to 82.

At the small animal sale, Geese sold to 13 dollars, Cockatiels to 17 and Turkeys stopped at 24 dollars per bird.

Rouen drakes sold up to 13 dollars apiece while Guinea Fowl cockerels reached 15.
