Keady Livestock Report


Prices from Tuesday at the Keady Market.


At the Keady Livestock sale on Tuesday, 687 head of  replacement cattle, cows and bulls were on offer.

All classes of stocker cattle sold on crisp demand with fully steady prices.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold up to a dollar 32 per pound and heifers to a dollar 29.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold up to a dollar 18 per pound and the same range in heifers traded to a dollar 16.

Yearling steers up to one thousand pounds sold to a dollar six and heifers to one dollar.

Cull cows sold from 43 to 57 cents per pound and cull bulls sold to 68.

At the hog barn, 68 dollar calves were on offer selling at barley steady prices..

Holstein male calves weighing over 100 pounds sold from 110 dollars to 200 dollars apiece.

New crop lambs sold to 2.15 per pound while Billy goats sold up to 300 dollars each.

At the small animal sale, Ringneck phesants  sold to 11 dollars per bird while Golden pheasants topped at 24.

Guinea fowel sold to 11 dollars per bird while Red roosters stopped at 22.
