Prices from Tuesday at the Keady Market.


At the Keady Livestock sale on Tuesday, 876 head of  replacement cattle, cows and bulls were on offer.

A good selection of stocker cattle sold on crisp demand with price increases of 1 to 3 dollars per hundred weight.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold up to a dollar 33 per pound and heifers to a dollar 21.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold up to a dollar 34 per pound and the same range in heifers traded to a dollar 14.

Yearling steers up to one thousand pounds sold to a dollar five and heifers to 87.

Cull cows sold from 40 to 54 cents per pound and cull bulls sold to 66.

At the hog barn, 51 dollar calves were on offer selling at sharply higher prices..

Holstein male calves weighing over 100 pounds sold from 85 to 210 dollars apiece.

Light lambs sold to three dollars per  pound while nanny and kid goat pair sold to two hundred and 80 dollars.

At the small animal sale,Guinea pigs sold up to six dollars apiece while Hampsters sold to 13.

Bard Rock roosters sold to 13 dollars per bird while ringneck pheasants topped at 15.
