Local man on Cattleman's board
A Tara aea beef farmer is one of the new directors for the Canadian Cattlemen's Association.
Bill Herron and his family farm near that community.
He's formaly been involved with the Ontario Cattlemen's Association.
Herron is one of four new directors on the Canadian Cattlemen's Association board.
The C-C-A also has a new president.... a cattle farmer from Alberta.
The application period for the Farm Credit Canada AgriSpirit Fund is now open. Registered charities and non-profit organizations interested in applying for funding this year are encouraged to apply online at 'agri spirit.ca- until June 14.
The fund will provide 1 million dollars to support rural capital projects.....such as emergency services equipment, playgrounds, recreation centres and long term care homes in communities under 100,000.
