Prices from Tuesday at the Keady Market.


At the Keady Livestock sale on Tuesday, 738 hear of stocker, feeders, cows and bulls were on offer.

All classes of stocker cattle sold on good demand at fully steady prices.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold up to a dollar 35 per pound and heifers to a dollar 24.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold up to a dollar 11 per pound and the same range in heifers traded to a dollar 2.

Yearling steers up to one thousand pounds sold from 97 cents to 98 and the same in heifers traded up to 99.

At the hog barn, 60 dollar calves were on offer, selling at steady prices.

Holstein male calves weighing over 100 pounds sold from 50 to 135 dollars apiece.

Lightweight market lambs topped at a dollar 87 while Billy goats reached 240.

Female llamas sold for 85 dollars each.

At the small animal sale, Budgie birds sold at six dollars apiece while Geese stopped at eight.

Ready to lay pullets sold up to 6.50 per bird and Muscovy ducks topped at 11.
