Keady Livestock Report


Prices from Tuesday at the Keady Market.


At the Keady Livestock sale on Tuesday, 910 head of stockers, feeders, cows and bulls were on offer.

Good quality cattle sold on selective demand at steady prices.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold up to a dollar 30 per pound and heifers to a dollar 27.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds up to a dollar 11 per pound and the same range in heifers traded to 95.

Yearling steers up to one thousand pounds sold from 80 cents to 97 and the same in heifers traded from 91 cents to 96.

At the hog barn, 68 dollar calves were on offer, selling up to 10 dollars per head higher.

Holstein male calves weighing over 100 pounds sold from 25 to 145 dollars apiece.

Lightweight market lambs sold to two dollars and 26 cents per pound.

At the small animal sale, Crested ducks sold up to 8 dollars per bird while Call ducks reached 14.

Bard Rock roosters traded up to 8 dollars apiece while Bantam roosters topped out at 4.
