Prices from Tuesday at the Keady Market.


At the Keady Livestock sale on Tuesday, 1187 head of cattle wre on offer.

Good quality stocker and feeder cattle sold on selective demand at steady prices.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold up to a dollar 30 and heifers up to a dollar 7.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold up to a dollar 15 and the same range in heifers traded from 77 cents to 96.

Yearling steers 800 to 1050 pounds sold from 88 cents to a dollar per pound and the same in heifers sold from 88 cents to 97.

Cull cows sold in a price range from 39 to 45 cents per pound and cull bulls up to 52.

At the hog barn, 107 dollar calves were on offer selling at barely steady prices.

Holstein male calves weighing over 100 pounds sold from 30 dollars to 117.

Billy goats sold up to 140 dollars while nanny goats stopped at 120.

At the small animal sale, Rouen ducks sold up to 6 dollars per bird while Muscovy drakes topped out at 9.

Ready to lay pullets traded at the 6 dollar mark while mature turkeys reached 23.
