Prices from Tuesday at the Keady Market
At the Keady Livestock sale on Tuesday -- 508 head of cattle were on offer.
Good quality short keep feeder cattle sold on moderate demand at steady prices.
Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold up to a dollar 25 and heifers up to one dollar.
Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold up to a dollar 15 and heifers traded in a range from 94 to a dollar 2.
Yearling steers 800 to a thousand and 50 pounds sold from 90 to a dollar 8 and the same in heifers sold from 80 cents to 96.
Cull cows sold in a price range from 44 to 65 cents per pound.
At the hog barn -- 83 dollar calves were on offer, selling at slightly higher prices.
Holstein male calves weighing over 100 pounds sold from 90 dollars to 180.
Market lambs sold up to a dollar 65.
At the small animal sale -- turkeys sold up to 17 dollars while Muscovy ducks stopped at 10.
Laying hens sold up to 3 dollars per bird while roosters topped out at 10.
