New flour mill planned near Guelph
Ontario is getting its first new flour mill in decades.
LVB Milling of Elie, Manitoba has settled on a 25-acre site north of Guelph after looking for more than two years.
President Andreas Boersch says construction of the 19-million dollar project is scheduled to begin early next year. It will be both a flour mill and grain elevators.
Boersch says about 30 per cent of the wheat will be purchased from Ontario producers and the rest will be imported from the Prairies.
