Prices from Tuesday at the Keady market.


At the Keady Livestock sale on Tuesday -- 746 head of stocker and feeder cattle, cows and bulls were on offer.

All classes of stocker and feeder cattle sold on good demand at steady prices.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold to two dollars per pound and heifers to a dollar 65.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold from a dollar 29 to a dollar 46 per pound and the same range in heifers traded to a dollar 36.

Yearling steers 800 to a thousand pounds sold from a dollar 19 to a dollar 37 and heifers to a dollar 23.

Cull cows sold at a range from 44 to 68 cents per pound and cull bulls up to 76.

At the hog barn, 70 dollar calves were on offer, selling at steady prices.

Holstein male calves weighing 100 pounds sold from 75 to 157 dollars apiece.

Market lambs 50 to 64 pounds sold to 2 dollars and 18 cents per pound while alpine market kid kid billy goats sold up to 82 dollars and 50 cents per head.

At the small animal sale -- Muscovy Drakes sold up to 9 dollars a piece while Buck Rabbits reached 8.

Love Birds traded up to 27 dollars a pair while Banty Cochin Poultry topped at 5.
