Prices from Tuesday at the Keady market.


Length:

At the Keady Livestock sale on Tuesday -- 783 head of stocker and feeder cattle, cows and bulls were on offer.

All classes of stocker and replacement cattle sold on strong demand at fully steady prices.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold to a dollar 73 and heifers to a dollar 56.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold from a dollar 29 to a dollar 39 per pound and the same range in heifers traded to a dollar 34.

Yearling steers 800 to a thousand pounds sold from a dollar 21 to a dollar 32 and heifers to a dollar 13.

Cull cows sold at a range from 53 to 73 cents per pound and cull bulls up to 80.

At the hog barn, 75 dollar calves were on offer, selling at steady prices.

Holstein male calves weighing over 100 pounds sold from 65 to 185 dollars apiece.

Market lambs 50 to 64 pounds sold to 2 dollars and 10 cents per pound while Billy Goats stopped at 235 dollars per head.

At the small animal sale -- Female Dwarf Rabbits sold up to 16 dollars a piece while Peacocks reached 29.

Lady Amherst chicks traded up to 5 dollars per bird while Geese topped at 22.
