Prices from Tuesday at the Keady Market.


Length:

At the Keady livestock sale Tuesday 230 head of stockers, feeders, cows and bulls were on offer.

A light run of replacement cattle sold on good demand at steady prices.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold up to a dollar 18 per pound and heifers to a dollar 10.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold up to a dollar 10 per pound and the same range in heifers traded to a dollar 2.

Yearling steers up to one thousand pounds sold from 92 cents to 96 and the same in heifers traded up to 98.

Cull cows sold at higher prices, from 32 to 41 cents per pound while cull bulls sold up to 53.

At the hog barn, 60 dollar calves were on offer, selling at slightly higher prices.

Holstein male calves weighing over 100 pounds sold from 35 to 115 dollars apiece.

Lightweight market lambs sold up to a dollar and 8 cents per pound while ewes sold to 108 dollars apiece.

At the small animal sale, rabbits sold from one to six dollars each while Muscovy ducks sold to six dollars and a half.
