Prices from Tuesday at the Keady Market.


Length:

At the Keady Livestock sale on Tuesday -- a total of 636 cows and replacement cattle were on offer.

All classes of stocker and replacement cattle sold on good demand at steady prices.

Steer calves from 400 to 600 pounds sold up to a dollar 34 per pound and heifers to a dollar 7.

Yearling steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold from a dollar 4 to a dollar 29 per pound and heifers from 98 to a dollar 8.

Yearling steers over 800 pounds sold to a dollar 10 and heifers to 98 cents.

Cull cows sold in a price range from 51 to 55 cents per pound while cow and calf pairs sold from one thousand to 13 hundred and 60 dollars per pair.

At the hog barn, 83 dollar calves were on offer, selling at slightly higher prices.

Holstein male calves weighing over 100 pounds sold from 85 dollars to 160.

New crop lambs sold up to 217 per pound and Billy Goats traded up to 285 dollars per head.

At the small animal sale, Zebra Finches sold for 9 dollars per bird while Muscovy drakes reached 11.

Pekin ducks sold up to 13 dollars apiece while Guinea Fowl stopped at 11.
