Prices from Tuesday at Keady Livestock Market.


Length:

At the Keady Livestock sale on Tuesday, a total of 445 cows and replacement cattle were on offer.

All classes of stocker and feeder heifers and steers sold on good demand at steady prices.

Steer calves from 400 to 600 pounds sold up to a dollar 30 per pound and heifers to a dollar 20.

Steer calves weighing from 600 to 800 pounds sold to a dollar 17 per pound and heifers sold from 80 cents to a dollar 19.

Yearling steers from 800 to 1000 pounds sold up to a dollar 9 and heifers traded to a dollar 3.

Cull cows sold in a price range from 37 to 56 cents and bulls up to 69 cents.

At the hog barn, 77 dollars calves were on offer, selling at easier prices.

Holstein male calves weighing over 100 pounds sold from 60 to 175 dollars.

Lightweight lambs sold up to 22 dollars per pound.

At the small animal sale, Guinea fowl sold up to 10 dollars per bird, while Ringneck Pheasants sold for 7 dollars.

Rabbits sold up to 10 dollars each while Buff Brahma poultry topped 14 dollars.
