Prices from Tuesday at Keady Livestock Market.


Length:

At the Keady Livestock Sale on Tuesday a total of 1412 cows and replacement cattle were on offer.

A good run of lightweight grass type stocker cattle sold on sharp demand at fully steady prices.

Steer calves from 400 to 600 pounds sold up to a dollar 39 per pound and heifers to a dollar 33.

Steer calves weighing from 600 to 800 pounds sold to a dollar 38 per pound and heifers sold from 94 to a dollar 18.

Yearling steers from 800 to 1000 pounds sold up to a dollar 8 and heifers traded from a dollar 6 to a dollar 12.

Cull cows traded in a price range of 42 cents to 60 and bulls up to 62 and a half.

At the hog barn, 75 dollar calves were on offer selling at slightly higher prices.

Holstein male calves weighting over 100 pounds sold from 90 to 172.

Top lightweight market lambs sold up to 2 dollars and 56 cents per pound.

At the small animal sale, silver pheasants sold up to 14 dollars, while turkeys topped out at 25.

Call ducks sold up to 18 dollars while geese stopped at 28.
