At the Keady Livestock sale on Tuesday -- 13 hundred and 4 head of stocker cattle and cows were on offer.

Continued strong demand for quality grass type stocker cattle kept prices strong and steady.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold to a dollar 90 per pound and the same in heifers sold up to a dollar 68.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold from a dollar 52 to a dollar 74 per pound and the same weight in heifers sold from a dollar 31 to a dollar 63.

Steers 800 to a thousand pounds sold from a dollar 25 to a dollar 49, and heifers to a dollar 40.

Cull cows sold from 74 to 89 cents per pound and cull bulls from 78 to 91 cents per pound.

At the hog barn, 39 dollar calves were on offer, selling at steady prices.

Holstein male calves weighing 100 to 150 pounds sold from 160 to 275 dollars per head.

Market lambs up to 50 pounds sold up to 2 dollars and 60 cents per pound while billy goats topped at a hundred and 90 dollars per head.

At the small animal sale, Barred Rock Chickens sold to 9 dollars per bird while Golden Pheasants stopped at 16.

African Geese sold to 26 dollars a piece while Pea Hens topped at 65.
