Shelburne Police to Carry Naloxone

Shelburne | by Jill Young
Shelburne Police to carry Naloxone nasal spray in case of accidental exposure to drugs.

Shelburne Police officers are now carrying life saving Naloxone.

Police officers have been facing increased risks with the growing opioid crisis, with exposure to dangerous drugs.

There's a risk of accidental absorption through the skin when officers make contact with drugs like Fentanyl, when responding to situations.

Police Chief Kent Moore says opioids are in the community and equipping officers with Naloxone nasal spray was the logical choice for protection.
