73 Charges Laid on Long Weekend

Shelburne Police say 58 drivers were charged with speeding on Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

Shelburne Police laid 73 charges over the Thanksgiving long weekend for traffic related offences.

58 drivers were charged for speeding, and only one driver was charged for using their cellphone while driving.

Other miscellaneous charges were laid for motorists not obeying stop signs or traffic lights, failing to move over for an emergency vehicle, and driving while suspended.

10 warnings were given out.
