The Town of Shelburne is getting some federal funding to help improve water quality.
MP for Dufferin-Caledon David Tilson recently presented Mayor Ken Bennington with $180,732 from Infrastructure Canada.
The money is out of the Clean Water and Wastewater Fund to protect waterways and preserve local ecosystems.
The town is committing $343,491 to the project, and over $90,000 is committed from the province.
Bennington says the funds will assist with the improvements to the town's water pollution control plant and storm ponds.
